Three Top Silversea Executives Terminated

It's been a rough week for the luxury cruise lines. First the announcement from Regent that its Seven Seas Voyager was cutting its world cruise short in order to fix a damaged pod and now this troubling news from Silversea: three high-level executives—David Morris, Marilyn Conroy, and Tim Rand—were terminated yesterday.

No official word from Silversea as of yet, but rumor has it that these changes surprised many within the company.
  • David Morris was executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.

  • Marilyn Conroy was senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas.

  • Tim Rand was vice president and chief information officer.
We wish these three individuals all the best and hope each lands on his or her feet shortly.

According to Seatrade Insider, Silversea has a plan in place to fill these positions. —Andrea M. Rotondo
